Counter-Strike 2 has received a major update. The developers have added new keychains to the game and reworked a number of game mechanics.
Last night, Valve released a 6.5 gigabyte patch. The interface and item mechanics have undergone a number of changes, and the developers have also worked on fixing pixel display bugs.
ARMORY
- Added the Missing Link Community Charms collection with 23 new charms created by artists from the Counter-Strike Workshop community.
- Added the Dr. Boom collection with 22 new charms.
- Added the 2025 Community Stickers collection with 29 new stickers created by artists from the Counter-Strike Workshop community.
- Added the Sugarface 2 Stickers collection with 9 new Sugarface-themed stickers;
- Removed Gallery Case, Graphic Collection, and Character Craft stickers from the Arsenal.
GAMEPLAY
- The kill counter in the scoreboard will now increase when players die from a C4 explosion
- Limited the bonus from Zeus-x27 killstreaks in deathmatch
- Fixed incorrect pixel offset for sniper scopes thicker than one pixel
- Added inaccuracy display to sniper scopes
- Keychains will now shake slightly when the player makes audible footsteps
OBSERVATION
- Added support for new observer camera transitions on selected maps, which move along the shortest path to the next target
- The equipment of the player being observed will now automatically close after the match ends
- The equipment of the player being observed now shows wear and tear and glove patterns
MAPS
- Removed community maps Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery from all game modes.
- Added community maps Palacio and Golden to Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes.
- Added community maps Rooftop and Transit to Wingman mode.
- Ancient / Shoots
- Various player collision fixes.
MISCELLANEOUS
- Minor changes to the MAC-10 and R8 Revolver skins
- Fixed a crash caused by missing bullet hit effects
- Added deformers (lattice deformer and simple bend deformer) to Workshop Tools – Hammer
- Re-enabled example content in train_zoo using lattice and bend deformers
MAP SCRIPTING
- Updated general error handling for methods. An exception is now generated if a method is called with an incorrect argument.
