S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has received update 1.6, titled Night of the Hunter. The patch is now available on all platforms and includes both bug fixes and new content.
On 23 September, the developers released a patch that added night vision goggles to the game, making it easier to move around and fight in the dark. The team took gameplay changes into account and rebalanced NPC behaviour. Weapon displacement and the ability for NPCs to pick up trophies from fallen mutants have also been added to the game.
In addition, the Fireball anomaly appeared in the Zone, unique weapons were added, and female NPCs received more variations of faces and hairstyles. Furthermore, the studio reworked the balance of stashes, improved the game's CPU optimisation, and fixed dozens of bugs in NPC behaviour, gameplay, and quests.
